facilities

4 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, 2.5 bathrooms, 1 living/dining room

The house sleeps seven comfortably and is rented as a single property. Facilities include the main 17th-century castle, the stables (bedroom with en suite bathroom), summer kitchen and utility room, garden, lower courtyard and upper terrace with access to off-street parking (large enough for two cars). We also have the land opposite the house and the land adjacent to it

MASTER BEDROOM

MASTER BEDROOM

MASTER BEDROOM

The master bedroom at the top of the tower has great views out to the sea and vineyards.  The room's key features are the four "bartizans" which are the original mini turrets that allowed the Kaštel's defenders to look down on marauding attackers as well as being a slot from which to pour boiling oil over them

TWIN BEDROOM

MASTER BEDROOM

MASTER BEDROOM

The twin room on the second floor is next door to the main shower room in the main house.  The original “gun loops”  are in evidence in this room, while the house has a total of 16 firing ports

KIDS BEDROOM

KIDS BEDROOM

On the second floor of the main building is the Kids' room with one single bed and a cot next to the main bathroom (one  bed as shown in picture has been  removed)

THE STABLES

KIDS BEDROOM

KIDS BEDROOM

The last bedroom with twin beds is located in the lower terrace. It is the old stables and has an ensuite bathroom with a separate shower, WC and sink

living area

On the ground floor you'll find a fully equipped kitchen with a gas/electric cooker, dishwasher and fridge. A small area for dining is next to the kitchen with an adjoining sitting room and small WC

THE TERRACE

Where it all happens

In truth, the main room is the one just outside the kitchen: a large 60 square-metre terrace that looks out over the village, the vineyards and sea. It is now covered by a bamboo roof but over time we hope to get the vines to take over. The terrace is fitted with a larger ceramic table which is able to sit up to ten people

SHADE AND BREEZE

The lower terrace offers the perfect chance to kick back, relax and enjoy those long summer days, all in the comfort of a shaded and hidden space

The upper terrace offers the perfect all-day spot to sit, relax and enjoy village life, along with some sea-breeze to keep you cool. Whilst we are not by the sea we look out to sea. On a good day, even Italy is visible

SUMMER KITCHEN

A second kitchen is located by the second terrace, below the main house. It contains a giant gas cooker (for mussels etc.) and a mobile BBQ + larger fridge/freezer. The kitchen allows you to cook with impunity and no fear of smelling out the main house. A cellar is next to the summer kitchen with a washing machine

You can also find spare chairs, gardening items, tools etc.

Village life

The house is located in a working village. They do tend to work during the least hot parts of the day so quite early in the morning. The house is also centrally located near to the church whose bells are rung quite enthusiastically.
